Video: Into the Canyon

We are continually grateful to host such amazing and talented guests at Cinco Rios Lodge and its a special treat for us to reflect on those memories through their eyes when they share photos and videos from their experiences. This short video, “Into the Canyon” filmed by Joe Rotter during his trip with Red’s Fly Shop takes us on a float fishing experience through the canyon section of our home water, the beautiful Rio Simpson. With so much fishing diversity, consistent hatches, close proximity to the lodge and its sheer beauty, the Simpson is a staple to our classic waters program offered at Cinco Rios Lodge. As you will see in the video, in a single outing on the Simpson it’s possible to catch fish by casting and stripping streamers away from cover, nymphing through deep pools or sight casting to selection fish, all in a single day. The Simpson has so much to offer anglers that it’s no wonder its a favorite among our plentiful list of fly fishing options.
